Whitelisting ensures that important emails never land in your spam or junk folder. Follow the steps below to whitelist an email address based on your email provider.
✅ For Gmail (Google Mail)
Open Gmail.
Click the gear icon (⚙️) in the top-right and select "See all settings."
Go to the "Filters and Blocked Addresses" tab.
Click "Create a new filter."
In the “From” field, enter the email address you want to whitelist (e.g.,
support@yourcompany.com
).Click "Create filter."
Check the box that says "Never send it to Spam."
(Optional) Check "Also apply filter to matching conversations."
Click "Create filter."
✅ For Outlook (Web or Outlook.com)
Go to Outlook.com and log in.
Click the gear icon (⚙️) in the upper-right and choose "View all Outlook settings."
Navigate to Mail > Junk Email.
Under "Safe senders and domains," click "Add."
Enter the email address (e.g.,
support@yourcompany.com
) and press Enter.Click "Save".
✅ For Apple Mail (Mac Desktop)
Open Apple Mail.
Go to Mail > Preferences from the top menu.
Click the Rules tab and then click "Add Rule."
Set the rule description (e.g., “Whitelist Support Email”).
Set the condition to:
If any of the following conditions are met → From → Contains →support@yourcompany.com
Under Perform the following actions, choose:
Move Message → to mailbox → Inbox.Click OK and apply the rule.
✅ For Yahoo Mail
Log in to your Yahoo Mail account.
Click the Settings gear icon and then select More Settings.
Choose Filters from the left menu.
Click Add new filters.
Name your filter (e.g., “Whitelist Support”).
Under the From field, enter the email address.
Choose Inbox as the folder to deliver the email.
Click Save.
✅ For AOL Mail
Log in to your AOL Mail account.
Click Options (top right) > Mail Settings.
Select the Spam Settings tab.
In the "Sender Filter" section, choose:
"Allow mail from all senders"
Or, under "Allow only mail from senders in my allow list", add your email address to the list.
Save settings.
Tip: Check Your Spam or Junk Folder
If you’re expecting an email and don’t see it:
Check your Spam, Junk, or Promotions folder.
If you find the email there, mark it as "Not Spam" or move it to your Inbox.
