How to Create a Blog

If you're new to blogging or want to start your own blog but don't know where to begin, this article will help you get started.

Step 1: Create a Blog Post with Settings and SEO details

1. From Sites > Blogs, Create a New Blog Post with a Title, Description, and a Blog Post image

   Note - The image size allowed is 10MB

2. Add the content for your blog post using the editor toolbar:

   • You can set styles with bold, italics, underline, strikethrough, fonts, styles, size
   • Add indent, number list, bulleted list, or to-do list
   • Add color and highlight
   • Add an image(s) or video(s) from the Media Library and YouTube and insert hyperlinks
   • Add quotes for specific content
   • Clear a particular format or format everything

3. After adding content, set up the details:

   • URL Slug - Path for your blog post
   • Category (set up in blog settings)
   • Keywords
   • Author (set up in blog settings)

4. Once reviewed, you can publish the post immediately or save it as a draft.

How to Create a Blog Page Within a Funnel or Website

Step 2: Add a Funnel or Website with the Blog Post List element

Note: This funnel or website page will be your main Blog page containing all blog posts added in the Blogs section.

1. Create a new Funnel / Website or add a step/page to an existing one

2. Once the funnel step is added, click the edit button to enter the editor

3. Click on the element named Blog Post List

   • Choose the layout: Standard or Compact
   • Set Pagination (number of blog posts shown on landing page)
   • You can rename the "More stories" button

4. Tip: Add a Header (Navigation menu) and Footer links to your blog page for better UX.

5. Add your domain to the site from Funnel / Website Settings (if not already added)

6. To make the blog your default page (e.g., blog.mydomain.com):

   • Go to Settings > Domains > Edit Domain
   • Set the blog page as Default Page

Important: Once published, Category, Keywords, Author, and Slug cannot be updated. An update to allow editing is in progress.

FAQs

How does the domain work with the blog?

The domain is added to the Funnel or Website that includes the blog list element.

Blog URL examples:

• abc.com/b/sample-now
• blog.abc.com/b/sample-now

Can I have separate blog pages for each category?

Not supported yet. Soon you’ll be able to create funnel/website pages filtered by category with SEO and slugs.

How do you choose how many blog posts are shown?

Use Pagination settings in the blog list element. Recommended: show 6 or 9 posts per page.

Is it optional to add Author, Category, or Keywords?

• Category is required
• Author and Keywords are optional
• Author info (name, photo, social) and SEO details are added in Blog Settings

Can I use custom values in a blog post?

No. Custom values like {{contact.name}} or {{custom_values.xyz}} are not supported in blog posts.

Can I add Forms, Surveys, or Custom Code to a blog post?

Not at the moment. Custom code support is planned.

Why can't I change the blog author?

Author, Category, Keywords, and Slug are locked after publishing.

Can I add more fonts?

No, not currently. Additional fonts are coming in a future release.

What is the recommended image size?

There’s no strict size, but the editor’s page width is 736px.
